En 1120, Hugues II de Cordey reçut de Henri 1er Duc de Normandie et Roi d’Angleterre, la terre de Sainte André du Bû à la quelle il donna son nom et y fit construire un château fort. C’est sur ces fondations du XII siècle  que s’érige aujourd’hui le fief de Cordey (XVIs et XVIIs).

In 1120, Hugues II de Cordey received from Henri 1st Duke of Normandy and King of England, the land of Sainte André du Bû to which he gave his name at built castle fort. It is on these 12th Century foundations that the stronghold/fief of Corday now stands (14th and 17th Century).
